Scalability rap session with Todd Hoff

Posted by: Andrew Glover on 12/04/2008

I have long admired highscalability.com for its focus on interesting techniques, libraries, and case studies all related to the hip art of scaling; indeed, this website has some super cool articles regarding YouTube, Amazon, and Google to name a few high profile websites that appear to have scaled quite copasetically. Consequently, it was quite an honor to chat with Todd Hoff, the founder of the aforementioned blog for JavaWorld’s Java Technology Insider.

In this hip podcast, Todd rhapsodizes about Twitter, eBay, and Amazon, while hitting such subjects as sharding, parallelization, and caching. What’s more, Todd shares his views on Java, Ruby, and cloud computing. I definitely had a great time chatting with Todd as I learned quite a few things, man. So what are you waiting for? Have a listen!
